The 3rd Schools of Malaysia Directory, complemented by its web-portal www.schoolmalaysia.com showcases to the world what Malaysian public schools, private schools, international schools, kindergartens, child-care centres as well as enrichment centres can offer.

It serves as a worldwide media tool in promoting Malaysia as a centre of educational excellence for pre-tertiary education to the market-place and projecting the country as an ideal destination for primary and secondary education at private and international schools to the international community.

This guidebook also aims to provide useful information on the curriculum and co-curricular activities at public schools to parents.

Besides the above, the guidebook also serves to promote the understanding of the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) system in Malaysia.

The article section contains many useful features on ECCE programmes in Malaysia, public academic schools curriculum and co-curricular activities, study opportunities at private schools and international schools, technical education, special needs education, teacher education and some useful education statistics. The roles of relevant government agencies (the Ministry of Education and the Social Welfare Department of Malaysia) as well as the related laws governing each category of early childhood education establishment and pre-tertiary educational institutions are also featured here.
